Mostly, the album, "Scales" consists of slow, esoteric rock songs. However, I think "River Blindness" might just be the beginning of a Neu! song played at half speed, and I'm pretty sure that "Chaos Spinner" is just a cover of Brian Eno's "Prophecy Theme" from the Dune soundtrack. I might be imagining things though. Sometimes that happens, you know, Fantasy is reality in the world to day," that whole thing. The structures are kind of freaky sometimes, like, "What? That was the end?", but then the next thought that you have is "Sick!" so, that's a good thing. I'm into it anyways. I guess that's about it, I can't really come up with anything more specific than that. Except that "Scales""is a hazy sort of an album. Kind of like walking through a fog that may or may not be the thick, yellow smoke of some sort of sacred herb, trying to find your way, but the mist is so thick all that you can perceive are fuzzy apparitions that fade in and out in some sort of non-perceivable, or infinitely complex pattern.
