Big Walter Horton [appelé également Shakey Horton] est un harmonisiste et chanteur de blues américain connu comme membre du groupe de Muddy Waters.
Quelques plages "soulfull" remarquables (plages 1 à 3 du CD 1) où l'harmonica/voix se pose sur les lignes dépouillées d'une guitare électrique à l'arrière plan (+ rytmique métronomique d'un tambourin à sonailles). Le nom du guitariste est mentionné "inconnu" ; résultat d'une session à Memphis en Février 1951.
A noter la présence sur quelques plages du guitariste Joe Hill Louis [KL8942].
Deux autres harmonicistes blues similaires : Little Walter et Sonny Boy Williamson.
