"It is hard not to notice the somewhat dated sound - this is clearly music from the early 80s. The orchestra used is quite small, one of the smallest full orchestras I have ever heard, making the orchestral sound very fragile - especially the strings - which can be a little distracting at times, although Harnell makes use of synths, as well, to make the sound a little more rich and mysterious, such as in "Gamma Ray Treatment". The most interesting parts of the CD are the concert arrangements of the different themes. The album opens with the "Main Title" - which also is featured in two other versions - followed by the love theme. We are also given a quite nice piano solo version of the "Lonely Man Theme" - this is a piece many probably will recognize. It is without doubt a real classic. When it comes to TV music, at least. The CD includes 25 minutes of music from the pilot, as well as excerpts from the episodes "Married", "Prometheus", "Ricky", "Stop Susan Williams", "Homecoming" and "The Secret Empire" - all in all around 74 minutes. But the actual underscore is not that interesting and entertaining, to be honest. Although, there are some exciting and memorable cues, mostly the cues from the pilot episode, such as the action cue "First Hulk Out/Second Hulk Out/Transformation", with its various quotes of the main theme in different forms. But the sound is, once again, far too small. At times it sounds like action music played by a tiny chamber music ensemble." (www.scorereviews.com)
