Deux films américains fantastiques. "Re-Animator" date de 1985 et a reçu le prix de la critique au Festival d'Avoriaz pour sa combinaison assez particulière d'humour, d'horreur et d'érotisme. "Bride of the Re-Animator" est produit en 1989. Les deux films furent confiés pour la musique au même compositeur Richard Band. Les compositions du premier film furent réalisées sur synthétiseur; ce qui a permis certains effets spéciaux. Pour le second film, Richard Band a confié l'interprétation au Rome Philharmonic Orchestra.
