"For his second solo release on 12k, Minamo's Keiichi Sugimoto seems to have embraced the works of his talented labelmates. At the centre of every track are stuttering folds of guitar bringing to mind Christopher Willits' work, while the delicate looping phrases and pit-er-pat of micro evoke Dan Abrams' Shuttle358 work (Sugimoto even namechecks Abrams' seminal 12k album, Frame, for the last track). Opener, '02' provides a great summary of the album as a whole: pristine elctroacoustic sound sculpting shaped into distinct melodic forms accompanied by a subtle rhythmic backbone.
