Ce coffret contient l'album original remastérisé par Bernie Grundman, un album de démos et de prises de studio inédites enregistrées pendant la même période, le live inédit « Live At the Hollywood Bowl 9/14/68 », ainsi qu'un Blu-ray de la version intégrale du documentaire « At Last... The Beginning: The Making of Electric Ladyland ». Afin d'illustrer cette période phare de la carrière de Jimi Hendrix, un livre de 48 pages contenant des photos inédites, des reproductions de chansons et des poèmes écrits par Jimi Hendrix accompagne ces deux coffrets.
