Enregistrements de terrain par Eduard Alekseev, Zoya Kirgiz et Ted Levin à Touva. Ce disque présente les chants, musiques, imitations de cris d'animaux, etc. des Touvains, peuple turcophone d'éleveurs du sud de la Russie (installé dans la haute vallée de l'Ienisseï). On y découvre les extraordinaires techniques de chants diphoniques (le chanteur produit deux voix en même temps) et un jeu de guimbarde à comparer respectivement avec le chant Mongol et la guimbarde des Iakoutes.
