"Wail Man Wail !" est un triple album de Curtis Ousley surnommé King Curtis. Cet artiste afro-américain originaire du Texas commence sa carrière au début des années cinquante comme saxophoniste de Jazz pour de nombreux artistes tels que Roy Gaines, Sam Price, Chuck Willis, les Coasters, Big Maybelle ou Bob Kent. Ce triple album nous présente les débuts de l'artiste avec nonante six morceaux Soul, Jazz et R&B; enregistrés entre 1952 et 1961; bien avant son premier succès "Soul Twist" en 1962. (CL)
