Le folkloriste américain Dr William « Bill » Ferris nous invite à découvrir une partie de son oeuvre musicologique avec ce fabuleux coffret intitulé « Voices of Mississippi ». Cette compilation de trois CD et un DVD contient des enregistrements de Blues et de Gospel (1966-1978), des interviews et des rencontres avec des musiciens(nes) (1968-1994) ainsi qu'un film de documentaires (1972-1980). Sans oublier cent-vingt pages richement illustrées et documentées par Bill mais aussi Scott Barretta, David Evans et Tom Rankin. (CL)
