Excellente compilation réalisée par Mike McGONIGAL. Enregistrements gospel de 1944 à 2007 présentant des productions locales de musiciens n'ayant jamais quitté leur paroisse. Un parcours musical mettant à l'honneur les "petites gens", les gens de la base, des talents locaux rescapés sur des productions confidentielles. Ce qui marque le plus à travers l'écoute des 80 plages que compte l'ensemble des 3 CD c'est cette ferveur détachée de tout but commercial. Dévotion libre et mysticisme spontané. Le sous-titre "RAW+RARE" annonce la couleur: du gospel lo-fi, R&B; éraillé et jubilatoire, rock'n'roll archangélique et orgue Hammond d'arrière boutique pour transes extatiques impromptues. Un document assez unique. Vivement recommandé.(BB)
