Voici un box 5CD qui rassemble et donne un bon aperçu des suites orchestrales de Duke Ellington. Le titre "complete" n'est cependant pas tout à fait exhaustif... Mais les informations factuelles sont précises. Un panel d'enregistrements qui englobe une période de trente années (1931-1960) entre standards du swing (Black, Brown & Beige) et choses moins connues (The Beautiful Indians). Rien d'inédit mais le tout remasterisé, ce box constitue une belle porte d'entrée pour découvrir Duke Ellington et de manière plus large le swing orchestral. (BB)
